Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice – Labyrinth Shard Trial

Druth: A king in the north forced the dwarves to make a sword that would never fail and never rust and that would slice through iron and stone, and bring victory to its bearer. But the angry dwarves cursed it: it would be the death of a man every time it was drawn, and it would be the death of a king. Let me tell you about the sword Tyrfing.
Furies: Where is she? It feels wrong.
Narrator: Where are we now?… A burial mound. So strange that we go to such lengths to bury death, something so very ordinary, inevitable. It’s as if we conspire to hide death, because we have no answer for it.
Furies: Why has Dillion brought her here? The dead walk here.
Narrator: But when it comes, it forces itself on our friends or loved ones, then comes the reckoning.

Furies: Don’t go in there. Go in! Take the torch! It’s too dark. Take it. This will help you. Careful!
Senua: Who’s there? Dillion, I’m here. I’m here for the trials. Like when we first met, remember?
Dillion: Father! Come back to me! Don’t leave me!
Furies: There he is! Dillion! Finally! Why is he crying? Go to him!
Senua: What’s wrong? What happened? Can you hear me? Just wait there! I’ll find you.
Furies: How did you let him go again? Find him! You have to find him!
Senua: I’ll find him! I hear him.
Furies: What’s that? Did you hear that? You’re going the wrong way. Find another way. You’re failing. Think clearly! It’s not working.
Senua: I can hear him.
Furies: Listen! It’s getting louder. Dillion. Follow the voice! Light the torch! It’s not him. We told you it was a trick! Listen to his voice! Dillion, where are you? The voice is changing. It doesn’t sound like Dillion anymore.
Senua: Quiet. He wants me to find him. I’m lost without him…
Furies: What’s in there? A secret room. How does she get in there? Give up.
Senua: That voice…it’s not Dillion! Dillion wants me to face my fears.

Senua: Father? I’m leaving. I’ve decided. I think it will be good for me.
Zynbel: It’s the darkness speaking through you.
Senua: No, dad. It’s me. I think I can beat it. In my own way.
Zynbel: I can see the darkness in your eyes, child…
Senua: I met a boy…
Zynbel: Boy?
Senua: …the chieftain’s son…
Zynbel: No.
Senua: …he said he can help me…
Zynbel: It’s a trick!
Senua: …he says I can be normal…
Zynbel: Normal?
Senua: Yes!
Zynbel: No boy is going to save you. No one can. When they see the rot growing inside you, they will turn his back on you! The Gods can only fix you through my hand. You’re going nowhere.
Senua: No.
Zynbel: You will not defy the Gods! Come child. Take my hand. Come. Senua.
Senua: No! I am leaving.
Zynbel: You cannot escape the darkness. Your curse will make everyone suffer. You will have blood on your hands!

Furies: It’s done. There’s more. There’s always more to do. Can you do another one?
