Leon (V.O.): September 30, 1998… It’s a day I’ll never forget. The cop inside me died that day. And that night, Raccoon City was wiped out. Thanks to the bioweapons created by Umbrella. Somehow, I made it out. But too many others…weren’t so lucky. I was “asked” later to join a top-secret government program. Not that I had a choice. The training, the punishing missions nearly killed me. But at least they kept my mind off everything. If I could just forget what happened that night, the pain—even for a second. This time, it can be different. It has to.
Mario: So, tell me, Yanqui… why did you come to this horrible place? As close to nowhere that I’ve ever seen?
Leon: Let’s just say—looking for someone.
Mario: That someone must be very important, eh? The chief gave the orders himself. “Help him,” he said.
Leon: Well, I’m sure you boys didn’t come all the way out here to roast marshmallows… Or maybe you did.
Mario: You have a strange sense of humor. I’m gonna let you in on a little secret. Just between us. A lot of people have gone missing around here. And it’s been that way for a while now.
Leon: Well, then… should be just another day in the office, right?
Mario: I mean, last week there was a search for some missing hikers.
Leon: I’m sure you’ll do your best to help me…
Rookie: I think this is it.
Mario: Nature calls, eh? I’ll be right back. (In Spanish) Freezing out here.
Rookie: (In Spanish) You drink the whole bar?
Mario: Tssshhr.
Rookie: You smoke?
Mario: (In Spanish) This is one hell of a gloomy place. Hey? Anyone there?
Rookie: He sure is taking his time. Did he fall in? Maybe you better go and take a look? I’ll watch the car. Wouldn’t want to get a parking ticket.
Leon: So much for helping me.
Leon: How far could he have gone?
Leon: Anyone home?
Leon: Uh, sorry to barge in like this. (In Spanish) I’m looking for a police officer. Did he come this way?
Leon: This is not good…
Leon: Man, that stinks.
Leon: Hey! I read you! What’s your situation!? The hell is going on? What was that? No fucking way! This just keeps getting worse…
Leon: Roost, this is Condor One.
Hunnigan: Hunnigan here. What’s your sitrep?
Leon: The president’s daughter—Baby Eagle. It’s likely she’s in this village.
Hunnigan: Our intel was correct, then. Well done.
Leon: Need a location on a nearby lake. She may have been taken there.
Hunnigan: Copy that. I’ll see what I can find.
Leon: Hurry up. Something’s happened to the people here. My escorts are — Gotta go. Talk later. I’ll let myself out!
Leon: Damn it.
Leon: Holy shit… Here we go. You gotta be kidding me. It’s my lucky day. Oh, nice.
Leon: Huh? Where’s everyone going? Bingo?
Hunnigan: Roost to Condor One. I’ve identified a route to the lake. Look for a large windmill. There’s a path on the far side of it.
Leon: Windmill. Copy that.
Hunnigan: And be careful. Roost out.
Leon: These people are sick.
Leon: There it is.
Leon: Gotta fix everything myself.
Leon: God damn.
Leon: This the place? What’s that noise?
Luis: That hurts, you know?
Leon: Seemed like you really wanted to talk.
Luis: How observant, señor. Now, say—you got a smoke?
Leon: You know, those things will kill you.
Man: Oh, well, maybe just untie me then? ¡Joder! Not this guy.
Leon: Who are you? OK, stop right there!
