Block 01: Terra Dome Entrance
Hugh: You know where we can find this Eight character?
Diana: Umm, nope!
Hugh: Well, guess we’ll figure it out along the way.
Diana: Wooow!
Hugh: Not bad. You can almost smell the nature. This place took some serious funding. They better pay up when I get back.
Hugh: Whoa!
Diana: Birds! I hope there are other animals here too!
Hugh: So, you remember anything about Eight?
Diana: No, I just felt like I’d heard her voice before. But that’s about it.
Hugh: Huh. Not everyday you can meet someone who can talk using a cat. Pretty strange. But, not like we got a lot of leads, seeing how we can’t reach Earth. Nick’s family—they deserve to hear what happened, you know, in person.
Hugh: You got something?
Diana: Mhm! There’s REM data nearby! Let’s take it back to the Shelter!
Diana: That bot’s got a high-powered blade!
Hugh: The heck with that! So much for the beauty of nature!
Diana: Its laser’s warming up!
Block 02: Eco Modeling Lab
Station AI: Abnormal plant growth detected. Please initiate a manual reboot of the lim regulators. Re-initializing plant morphology.
IDUS: Hello. This is IDUS. Unauthorized network access detected. Disabling remote connection.
Hugh: Damn! IDUS is playing games with us again.
Diana: That tree was getting smaller, but then IDUS got in the way.
Eight: Can you hear me…?
Diana: Eight!
Eight: You’re here! Thank you. You’re close now. Just take the Central Lift and I’m there.
Hugh: Eight, what are we supposed to do about this big ol’ tree in the way?
Eight: Reboot the two lim regulators, one in each area, and the tree here should dissipate.
Diana: OK! Hang in there, Eight!
Hugh: There’s gotta be another way…
Diana: Be careful, Hugh.
Hugh: Well, I’m trying!
Diana: So, about that Lancer bot, you know, the one with that disc head? Its lance’s energy output is high, do not get hit!
Hugh: Duly noted. Next time, I’ll show you some real dodgin’…
Hugh: So, we gotta go through A or B if we want to continue.
Diana: Just pick one, right?
Hugh: Well, well… you’re not like the others.
Diana: Watch out! It might shoot something out of those round things!
Hugh: Let’s see, eenie, meenie, miney, moe… Damn it… No turning back now!
Diana: Stasis mines incoming!
Hugh: One of ‘em locked, huh? Might be some good stuff in there…
Diana: If you’re up for the challenge!
Diana: This place’s got some useful stuff! Good job, Hugh!
IDUS: Intruders detected. Please remove them from the premises.
Diana: It’s got a high energy capacitator!
Hugh: What the heck does that mean!?
Diana: It means its attack might be bigger!
Hugh: Well why didn’t you say that earlier!?
Diana: Ugh, if only we had a unit that could delete nodes!
Hugh: This again? So much for machine learning!
Diana: Oh! More animals!
Hugh: And now we got deer…
Diana: They look like family.
Hugh: Probably a buck and his fawn.
Diana: So their DNA is a 50% match?
Hugh: Well, a family isn’t just what’s in your DNA.
Diana: It isn’t?
Hugh: Not at all. I mean, I was adopted…
Diana: Adopted?
Hugh: Yeah, when a family takes you in as their own. Even though we don’t share the same DNA, they’re still my family, and I love ‘em.
Hugh: We’re here. Delphi sure didn’t skimp on security.
Diana: I think the trees by the lift are getting smaller!
Hugh: Almost there…
Diana: If Eight’s right, there’s still one more left!
Diana: I wonder what that is!
Eight: Well done. The other regulator is in the next sector.
Hugh: Got it. Diana, we’re outta here.
Eight: “Diana”?
Diana: That’s me! Hugh thought of it!
Eight: I see… Be careful, Diana.
Diana: Will do!
Diana: Look at those flying things!
Hugh: Those are butterflies. Not sure what kind, though…
Diana: They drink nectar, right?
Hugh: Yeah. Stuff’s pretty sweet. Guess liking sweet things is something we both share.
Diana: Is bitter bad then?
Hugh: Nah, it’s not bad, it’s just… doesn’t bring a smile to your face the same way.
Diana: Wow! Sweet sounds fun!
Hugh: Um, we won’t be able to get across like this…
Diana: This chip holds a licence to generate quasi-organic, plant material.
Hugh: Worth a shot.
Diana: It’s working!
Hugh: That’ll do—let’s jump across.
Diana: Wha—! Look at all the trees!
Hugh: Pretty cool… Now, where’s that regulator hiding?
Diana: Maybe over there. Through that door?
Hugh: Yeah, but how are we gonna get there?
Diana: What if we generate more branches to cross?
Hugh: Not a bad idea… Let’s go find some chips.
Diana: Hugh, there’s a chip over there! A gen chip!
Hugh: Two more left. Hope it doesn’t take too long.
Diana: Look! REM Data!
Hugh: I don’t see a way to get it from here…
Diana: I can’t wait to get that to the Shelter!
Diana: Try putting the chip into the machine, Hugh. It worked!
Hugh: As it should. Still doesn’t help us quite yet.
Diana: Yay! Another chip!
Hugh: One more to go. Let’s wrap this up.
Diana: I’m detecting a mod… Gotta get ‘em all, right? Let’s go grab it!
Hugh: Well when you put it that way, how can I resist?
Station AI: Initiating weather simulation test.
Hugh: Holy moly! Lightning!
Diana: The bots won’t react well to that!
Hugh: Let’s give ‘em a little shock, shall we?
Hugh: Great. Just great. Lightning on the moon, huh? Great idea.
Diana: I think I like the happy weather more!
Hugh: Me too.
Diana: Picking up a mod close by.
Hugh: Any idea what it does?
Diana: Come on! We’ll know when we get there!
Diana: That’s the last one!
Hugh: All right, now we’re talking! And please, no more chips!
Diana: Let’s reboot that regulator and go help Eight!
Hugh: Yeah. On it.
Hugh: Tell me you got something.
Diana: I think it’s a mod… Might be good to have, let’s go check it out!
Hugh: Let’s have a look.
Diana: Look! More branches!
Hugh: Just need to slot in one more chip, and I think we’re set.
Diana: Now we can reach that door!
Hugh: Can’t believe we had to go through all this for one regulator.
Diana: I think I’m sensing a strong bot nearby…
Hugh: Got it. Better stay on our toes.
IDUS: Warning: Extraneous variables detected. Please remove unsanctioned bodies from the test site.
Hugh: What the hell… This guy again!?
Diana: I think they were testing something!
Hugh: Damn it! Me and my dumb luck! Where’d they get all those missiles?
Diana: They were made with lunafilament!
Hugh: Lucky us, right?
Diana: Stay away from the red circles!
Hugh: I’m trying!
IDUS: Weather actuator engaged. Now targeting unknown entities.
Diana: It’s charging again!
Hugh: Stubborn hunk o’ junk!
Diana: We’re so close! Just a little bit more!
Hugh: Glad that’s over.
Diana: We still gotta reboot that regulator, Hugh!
Hugh: Oh yeah… Haha, right!
Hugh: Of all the places to put this thing.
Diana: Yay, the trees are gone!
Hugh: Then let’s go on that lift and go!
Block 03: Central Hall Upper Floor
Hugh: So we finally get to meet Eight. I wonder what her deal is. Could she be the scientist that made you?
Diana: I don’t think so…
Hugh: You remember something?
Diana: No, it’s not that, I—I feel like she’s someone important to me.
Hugh: I see… Then we better step in.
Eight: Diana, you’re here. Thank you.
Hugh: So you’re Eight… What on Earth happened to you?
Eight: While I was preparing to depart for Earth, the moonquake struck, damaging IDUS. The bots, these trees, everything went out of control.
Hugh: The moonquake… I lost my team when it hit.
Eight: If we can access the mainframe, we could force IDUS offline with this stop code. As Pragmata, we’re equipped with the ability to overwrite a system’s programming. The same power lies within you, Diana.
Diana: There’s nothing like that in my memory.
Eight: I see… How unfortunate.
Hugh: We’ll shut IDUS down… and then we’ll head to Earth.
Eight: Thank you.
Hugh: You two look like twins.
Diana: Yeah…
Hugh: What’s up?
Diana: Eight sure seemed driven…
Hugh: Yeah, not sure why she wants to go to Earth, but… we’ll figure it out. Let’s move.
Block 04: Soil Research
Hugh: I can hear the sound of waves.
Diana: Is that the sea? You’ve been to the sea before? O-On Earth?
Hugh: ‘Course I have. Got a house with a view and everything.
Diana: A house…
Hugh: We’d head down to the water any time we felt like taking a break from it all. Ocean breeze does a number on the paint, but still…
Diana: The breeze and the… paint?
Hugh: It’ll make sense when you see it, ya know, back on Earth?
Diana: Huh?
Hugh: You just gonna stay here when this is all done? What do you want?
Diana: I want… to go to Earth… with you. Can I really go? Then, then I can go see your house? And the ocean! And real trees!
Hugh: You bet.
Diana: OK. But we gotta help Eight first, right? And then… we can all go to Earth together!
Hugh: Yeah. You got it. Now that we’ve got a game plan, let’s finish this. Can’t keep Eight waiting.
Diana: Right!
Hugh: Dark as hell in here…
Diana: Oh no… There’s a broken Cabin here… maybe that’s their Training Simulation data…
Hugh: Another damn locked door…!
Diana: There’s one!
Diana: That’s two!
Hugh: Two more to go, right? Maybe we should hire our own bot to do this for us.
Hugh: Feels like we’re being watched… Diana, help!
Diana: I’m on it…! I was too slow!
Hugh: Hey, don’t sweat it! Where are you!? Show yourself!
Diana: It’s trying to hide!
Diana: And there’s three! One more to go!
Hugh: You know, I’d love to talk to the brain that scattered all these terminals around.
Diana: That’s all of them!
Hugh: Let’s keep up the pace.
Diana: I can’t believe those Creeper bots can disappear like that… But if you pay close attention, I think we can still see where they are!
Hugh: Stay calm, stay vigilant. You got it.
Diana: Hugh! That device is emitting some kind of jamming signal. If we touch it, I won’t be able to hack!
Hugh: Damn! Then what the heck are we supposed to do!?
Hugh: Looks like that door’s blocked.
Diana: Yeah, that tree’s in our way.
Hugh: I think that solves our little tree problem. You think Eight’s tree’s gone now too?
Diana: I don’t think so… Seems like it only got rid of the trees in here.
Hugh: You got something?
Diana: Mhm! There’s REM data nearby! Let’s take it back to the Shelter!
Diana: Hugh, we got a security zone!
Hugh: How many mouse traps are they gonna set for us? And on and on. Enough already!
Hugh: Is it just me, or have the bots been getting stronger?
Diana: IDUS might be upgrading their designs.
Hugh: This place gives me the creeps. What is all this gunk? You think the quakes caused this?
Diana: The make up of this stuff is all wrong, not like lunafilament.
Hugh: Like it’s… corrupted or something? Must’ve been working on something special down here.
Hugh: It’s that black stuff from before…
Diana: Oh yeah, like back at the MPA. This is way more than what we saw before. It seems to be spreading.
Hugh: Seems so. Must’ve been working on something special down here.
Block 05: Terrarium
Diana: We keep going down!
Hugh: Hope the regulator’s close.
Diana: You think our regulator’s down there?
Hugh: There it is. That’s what we’re here for.
Diana: We can use that to free Eight, right?
Hugh: Yeah.
IDUS: Hello, unregistered guests. Your presence here is a violation of Cradle security protocol. Please stand by while we remove you from the premises.
Hugh: Why would you make something like that?
Diana: I think it’s one of IDUS’! Be careful!
Hugh: OK. Let’s take it out, then grab the regulator.
Diana: Stay away from those mines! They’re gonna explode!
Hugh: Damn! Can’t move!
Diana: Hugh, it’s coming! Watch out for its tail! I think I can hack those mines!
Hugh: Can you blow ‘em up? The heck?
Diana: Look out! Its energy levels are spiking! It’s up on the pillars! We can slip through the gap in its lasers!
Hugh: And the missiles!?
Diana: Leave ‘em to me! I’ll send them back!
Diana: When the Garden Keeper drops down on us, it almost makes me forget how to hack! It got dark right when it scurried up the walls and I couldn’t keep track of it!
Hugh: All right, next time that happens, we find it ASAP.
Diana: We got another Shelter License Key!
Hugh: I’m on it.
Diana: Now we can go help Eight!
Hugh: Yep. Let’s go.
Diana: Eight!
Eight: I can finally move again. Thank you.
Diana: Are you OK?
Eight: No. Well not yet anyway. And there really is no more time to spare. I must stop IDUS.
IDUS: Hello. This is IDUS. I have detected an unexpected loss of biomaterial in this sector. I will be sealing this area—indefinitely. Have a wonderful day.
Hugh: You’ve gotta be kidding me. It’s trying to trap us! We gotta get outta here!
Diana: But Eight!
Eight: Diana, give me your hand. I entrust this memory to you. With it, you will learn how to stop IDUS. Take it, and finish the task I started.
Hugh: Hey! What are you doing? We gotta move…!
Eight: We can do this. We are Pragmata.
Hugh: Time’s up! We’re leaving.
Diana: Wha—! Eight!
Back to the Shelter
Station AI: A new destination has been added to the tram line. The Lunum Mines are now accessible.
Hugh: Once we gear up, we’re leaving to deal with IDUS. There’s no way back to Earth unless we take care of it first.
Cabin: Shelter License Key—authenticated! New functions have been added to the Cabin system. Shelter level upgraded! Central terminals now loaded with shiny new stuff! REM Replicator Sigma now online and ready to serve!
Hugh: Eight said IDUS’ mainframe is at the mines right?
Eight: Yeah, I think so!
Hugh: All right, ‘bout time we hit those mines.
